FAQ

1. Do you offer both hair and makeup services?

Yes! At White Dove and Daisy we offer both hair styling and makeup services for brides and bridal parties. You can book them together or separately, depending on your needs.

2. Do you travel to the wedding location?

Absolutely! I offer on-site services for your convenience on the wedding day. Travel fees apply depending on the location for any location further then 20 miles from Portsmouth. Additional .45p per mile (there and back from trial or wedding location to Portsmouth)

3. Is a preview (trial) required?

A bridal preview isn’t required for bridal party but is recommended for brides and all bride packages include one. This is so we can perfect your desired look in advance and ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.

4. When should I schedule my Preview?

Ideally 1–3 months before your wedding day. If you have a dress fitting, engagement shoot, or special event, you might coordinate it with that date.

5. How long does hair and makeup take on the wedding day?

Bridal hair and makeup typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Each bridesmaid or guest usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour per service.

6. Do you work with bridal parties?

Yes, I work with bridal parties of all sizes. For large groups, I will bring an assistant to keep things running smoothly and on schedule at no additional cost to you. For very large parties further additional stylists may be required to assist which will incur an additional fee. 

7. What brands of makeup do you use?

I use a mix of high-end, long-wearing brands like MAC, Morphie, Charlotte Tilbury, and Laura Mercier. All products are chosen based on skin type and desired finish.

8. Can you accommodate different skin tones and hair textures?

Yes. I have some experience with all skin tones and hair textures and carry an inclusive kit to ensure everyone looks and feels their best. For anyone unsure we do advise booking a consultation and preview 

10. Do you require a deposit to book?

Yes, a non-refundable deppsit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is typically due no later than the week of the wedding.

11. What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If you need to cancel, the deposit is non-refundable. Rescheduling may be possible depending on availability. Please refer to the full cancellation policy in your contract.

12. How far in advance should I book?

For peak wedding season, it’s best to book a minimum of 6–12 months in advance to ensure availability, especially for weekend weddings.

13. Do you offer touch-up services or stay for the whole day?

Yes, I offer touch-up packages and half-day/full-day rates if you’d like me to stay for photos, a second look, or pre-reception touch-ups. Please send us a message for personalised quotes for this.

14. Do you have a minimum booking requirement?

Yes, during peak seasons, I may require a minimum number of services (e.g., bride + 3 others) for weekend bookings.

15. Are lashes included in the makeup service?

Yes, false strip lashes are included in all bridal and bridesmaid makeup services depending on your preference and requirements.
